Säkkisuodatin, also known as a baghouse or fabric filter, is a dust collection device used in industrial applications to remove particulate matter from the air. It consists of a series of fabric bags, typically made from polyester, polypropylene, or other synthetic fibers, that are suspended within a housing. Air containing dust is drawn into the housing and passes through the fabric bags. The dust particles are captured on the outer surface of the bags, while the cleaned air is released into the atmosphere.

The collected dust is periodically removed from the bags through a cleaning mechanism. Common cleaning methods include shaking, reverse air blowing, or pulse jetting. Shaking involves mechanically vibrating the bags to dislodge the accumulated dust. Reverse air blowing uses a flow of clean air in the opposite direction of the dust-laden air to collapse the bags and release the dust. Pulse jetting employs short bursts of compressed air directed down into the bags, creating a shockwave that dislodges the dust.

Säkkisuodattimet are widely used in industries such as cement manufacturing, power generation, steel production, and woodworking, where large volumes of dust are generated. They are effective in capturing a wide range of particle sizes, including fine and sub-micron particles.
