Säkerthet

Säkerthet is a term encountered primarily as a nonstandard spelling of the Swedish word säkerhet, meaning security or safety. In standard Swedish the form säkerhet is used to describe the state of being protected or free from danger, whereas Säkerthet appears mainly in stylized titles, brand names, or as a linguistic variation. In English-language discussions, the concept would be rendered as security or safety.

The root of the concept is the same as in säkerhet: a sense of protection against threats and harm. The suffix -het forms abstract nouns in Swedish, producing a noun that denotes a quality or state. The variant Säkerthet thus mirrors an older or stylistic orthography rather than a separate technical term.
