Sávpassz

Sávpassz is a Hungarian term that translates to "bandpass" in English. It refers to a type of electronic filter that allows signals within a specific frequency range to pass through while attenuating or blocking signals outside of that range. This range is known as the passband. The frequencies below the passband are attenuated by the lower stopband, and frequencies above the passband are attenuated by the upper stopband.

Bandpass filters are fundamental components in many electronic systems, particularly in telecommunications, audio processing, and radio frequency engineering. They are used to isolate desired signals from unwanted noise or interference. For example, in a radio receiver, a bandpass filter selects the specific frequency of the desired radio station and rejects all others. In audio systems, they can be used to shape the tonal quality of sound by emphasizing or de-emphasizing certain frequency ranges.

The design of a bandpass filter involves specifying its center frequency, bandwidth, and the sharpness of its transition from the passband to the stopbands. These characteristics determine the filter's performance in separating different frequency components.
