Színeltolódást

Színeltolódást, also known as color shift or metamerism, refers to the phenomenon where the color of an object appears to change when viewed under different light sources or from different angles. This effect is a consequence of how light interacts with the surface of an object and how our eyes perceive color.

Different light sources emit light with varying spectral distributions. For example, daylight contains a broad spectrum of colors, while incandescent bulbs tend to emit more yellow and red light. When light from a particular source illuminates an object, the object absorbs some wavelengths and reflects others. The reflected wavelengths determine the color we perceive. If the spectral distribution of the light source changes, the combination of wavelengths reflected by the object can also change, leading to a perceived color shift.

Angle of view also plays a role, particularly with iridescent or metallic surfaces. These materials often have microscopic structures that cause light to interfere constructively or destructively depending on the angle of incidence and observation. This interference can result in a rainbow-like effect or a noticeable change in hue, saturation, or brightness as the viewing angle changes.
