Szerzdött

Szerzdött is not a standard term in Hungarian or in other widely used languages. In most contexts it is seen as a nonstandard spelling or a typographical variant of the Hungarian word szerződött, which means “entered into a contract” or “contracted.” The form without diacritics typically arises in plain ASCII text, on keyboards that lack accented characters, or as the result of transcription or OCR errors. Because it does not appear as a recognized entry in major dictionaries, szerzdött does not have an independent, formal definition.

The expected Hungarian form is szerződött, derived from szerződés (contract) and the verb related to contracting or agreeing — in many uses synonymous with entering into a contractual agreement. The root element szerződ- is connected to the sense of making a formal agreement, while -ött is a past participle suffix indicating a completed action. Example: “A cég szerződött a beszállítóval.” In nonstandard texts where diacritics are dropped, the form szerzdött may be encountered but is generally considered incorrect in formal writing.
