Szemüveggyártás refers to the process of creating eyeglasses. This involves several stages, starting with the measurement of a person's vision to determine the required prescription. Optometrists or ophthalmologists perform these tests using specialized equipment. Once the prescription is determined, lenses are manufactured to match these specifications. These lenses can be made from various materials, including glass, plastic, or polycarbonate, and can incorporate different features like anti-reflective coatings, UV protection, or progressive designs.

The frames, which hold the lenses in place, are also a crucial part of the manufacturing process. Frames can be made from materials such as metal, plastic, or acetate, and come in a wide array of styles and designs. After the lenses are cut and finished to fit the chosen frame, they are carefully inserted. This assembly is often done by skilled opticians. Finally, the completed eyeglasses undergo a quality check to ensure they meet the prescription accuracy, comfort, and aesthetic standards before being delivered to the customer. The industry encompasses both large-scale manufacturing facilities and smaller, artisanal workshops.
