Szakhatóság

Szakhatóság refers to the legal concept of jurisdiction in Hungarian law. It denotes the authority of a specific court or administrative body to hear and decide a particular case. This authority is typically determined by factors such as the subject matter of the dispute, the value of the claim, or the geographical location of the parties involved.

There are different types of szakhatóság. Personal szakhatóság relates to the parties involved in a case, while material szakhatóság concerns the nature of the legal issue. Territorial szakhatóság is based on the geographical location where the dispute arose or where the parties reside.

This ensures that legal disputes are handled by the most competent and appropriate authority.
