Syslogrsyslog

Syslogrsyslog is a software library that provides tools for producing and consuming syslog messages in environments that deploy the rsyslog logging system.

The library implements core syslog protocol features including RFC 5424 formatting, including structured data, time stamps, facility, severity, and app-name. It can act as a producer that formats and transmits logs to an rsyslog server, and may also include a lightweight server component to receive raw syslog input for local processing.

Transport and reliability: supports UDP and TCP transports, with optional TLS for encrypted transport; can batch messages, supports buffering and back-pressure, and provides configurable retry semantics.

Compatibility and usage: designed to interoperate with rsyslog configurations, including standard rsyslog servers listening on default ports such as 514; can be integrated into applications to centralize logs.
