Synsfunktion
Synsfunktion refers to the complex process by which an organism perceives and interprets visual information from its environment. This involves a series of coordinated steps beginning with the capture of light by the eyes. Light rays enter the eye through the cornea and pupil, are focused by the lens onto the retina, and then transduced into electrical signals by photoreceptor cells (rods and cones).
These electrical signals are then processed by various layers of neurons within the retina, including bipolar
Disruptions in any part of this pathway can lead to impaired synsfunktion, commonly referred to as vision
