Sydänjohtoverkostoa
Sydänjohtoverkostoa, often translated as the cardiac conduction system, refers to the specialized cells within the heart responsible for generating and transmitting electrical impulses. These impulses coordinate the heart's contractions, ensuring efficient blood circulation. The system begins with the sinoatrial (SA) node, located in the right atrium, which acts as the heart's natural pacemaker. It spontaneously generates electrical signals at a regular rate. These signals then spread across the atria, causing them to contract and pump blood into the ventricles.
The electrical impulse then travels to the atrioventricular (AV) node, situated between the atria and ventricles.
