Suuremat

Suuremmat is a Finnish adjective form that serves as the plural nominative of the comparative degree of the adjective suuru, meaning bigger or larger. In practice it describes something as more large relative to another thing, and it can stand on its own as "the bigger ones" when the noun is omitted.

In normal use, suurummet is combined with a plural noun to specify what is bigger. For example, suuremmat talot means bigger houses, and suuremmat rakennukset means larger buildings. The form also appears in predicate position without an explicit noun: Nämä ovat suuremmat. meaning "These are bigger."

When comparing two or more items, the construction often uses kuin: nämä ovat suuremmat kuin nuo. The corresponding superlative form is suurimmat, meaning "the biggest." The degree forms are part of a broader Finnish system of adjectives that decline for number and case, with comparative forms typically built from the adjective stem plus the comparative suffix and the plural ending.
