Suspiria

Suspiria is a 2018 supernatural horror film directed by Luca Guadagnino and written by David Kajganich. It is a remake of the 1977 film of the same name by Dario Argento. The story follows Susie Bannion, a young American dancer who travels to Berlin in 1977 to join the prestigious Haxan dance company. As she rises in the ranks, she discovers that the company is a front for a coven of witches, and that her arrival is linked to a dark ritual.

The film stars Dakota Johnson as Susie, Tilda Swinton in a dual role as Madame Blanc, the artistic director of the dance company, and Josef Klemperer, a psychologist. The cast also includes Mia Goth, Lutz Ebersdorf, and Angela Winkler.

Suspiria was shot in Berlin and Venice. The film's score was composed by Thom Yorke, who also contributed original songs. The cinematography, by Sayombhu Mukdeeprom, is noted for its atmospheric and often unsettling imagery, utilizing a muted color palette.
