Suolayhdisteitä
Suolayhdisteitä are chemical compounds formed by the electrostatic attraction between positively charged ions (cations) and negatively charged ions (anions). These ions are typically held together in a crystal lattice structure. The formation of suolayhdisteitä usually occurs when an acid reacts with a base, a process known as neutralization. In this reaction, the hydrogen ions from the acid combine with the hydroxide ions from the base to form water, leaving the remaining cation and anion to form the salt.
The properties of suolayhdisteitä vary greatly depending on the constituent ions. Many salts are crystalline solids
Common examples of suolayhdisteitä include sodium chloride (table salt), potassium nitrate, and calcium carbonate. These compounds
