Sumutusjäähdytys, also known as evaporative cooling or mist cooling, is a process that cools air through the evaporation of water. This phenomenon occurs naturally in many environments. In artificial systems, fine water droplets are sprayed into the air. As these droplets evaporate, they absorb heat from the surrounding air, thus lowering its temperature.
