Suguelundites

Suguelundites are a fictional class of minerals described in speculative geology and science fiction. They are portrayed as hydrous, layered silicate–carbonate minerals with a highly variable composition and a modular crystal lattice that allows extensive substitution of elements.

Crystal structure and appearance: Suguelundites are described as forming in tabular or fibrous crystals, often with a pearly or iridescent surface. The lattice flexibility gives rise to numerous polytypes, changing how light interacts with the mineral.
