SubwooferSysteme, or subwoofer systems, are audio setups designed to reproduce low-frequency sound effects, commonly referred to as bass. These systems typically consist of a dedicated subwoofer unit, which is a loudspeaker specifically engineered to handle these low frequencies, and often a crossover network that directs bass frequencies to the subwoofer and mid-range and high frequencies to other speakers.
