Sublimointipaperi, also known as sublimation paper, is a specialized type of paper designed for dye-sublimation printing. It is coated with a special polymer layer that allows it to absorb and hold sublimation inks. When heated, these inks transform from a solid to a gas without passing through a liquid phase, a process known as sublimation. The paper's coating facilitates this transfer by releasing the gaseous ink onto the substrate, such as polyester fabrics, ceramics, or metal surfaces.

The key characteristic of sublimation paper is its ability to achieve vibrant and durable prints. Unlike standard paper, sublimation paper is engineered to prevent the ink from spreading or bleeding, ensuring sharp image reproduction.
