Studzienice

Studzienice is a village located in the Gmina Studzienice, within the Bytów County of Pomeranian Voivodeship in northern Poland. Situated in the historical region of Pomerania, the village lies approximately 15 kilometers northeast of Bytów and 60 kilometers southwest of Gdańsk, the capital of the Pomeranian Voivodeship. Studzienice is part of the larger rural area known for its agricultural landscapes, forests, and scenic lakes.

The village has a long history dating back to the medieval period, with records indicating its existence as early as the 13th century. Originally part of the Duchy of Pomerania, it later became integrated into the Kingdom of Poland and subsequently the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. During the partitions of Poland in the late 18th century, Studzienice fell under Prussian rule, only to be reincorporated into Poland after World War I as part of the newly restored Second Polish Republic.

Studzienice is known for its traditional Polish rural architecture, including wooden houses and barns, which reflect the region’s agricultural heritage.
