Strålingsmønster

Strålingsmønster, or radiation pattern, describes how electromagnetic radiation, such as radio waves or light, is emitted or received by an antenna or other radiating object. It is a graphical representation of the strength of the radiated signal in different directions. Typically, a strålingsmønster is shown in polar coordinates, with the distance from the origin representing the signal strength and the angle indicating the direction.

The pattern often includes a main lobe, which represents the direction of maximum radiation, and several side lobes and back lobes, which represent weaker radiation in other directions. Understanding the strålingsmønster is crucial for designing and deploying antennas to ensure efficient communication and minimize interference. Different types of antennas have distinct strålingsmønstre, tailored for specific applications.
