Rights may be granted regionally and restricted by embargo periods or release windows, affecting when a title appears on a given platform. Licenses may also limit sublicensing or require coordination with other distribution deals. Technical protections, such as digital rights management (DRM), content moderation, and secure delivery, are often specified in contracts to prevent unauthorized use.
