Stereophonically

Stereophonically is an adverb that describes the reproduction of sound or other signals through two or more independent audio channels, so as to create the illusion of sound being heard in three dimensions. This effect is commonly achieved in stereophonic sound systems, often referred to as stereo, by using two or more microphones to record or transmit sound, and then reproducing the sound through two or more speakers or headphones. The listener's brain then integrates these separate signals to perceive a spatial arrangement of sound sources.
