StarshipSuper

StarshipSuper is a modular deep-space spacecraft designed for interplanetary transport and exploration. Developed by NovaDyne Space in collaboration with the Orbital Research Consortium, the vessel combines cargo capacity, crew accommodations, and autonomous systems to support long-duration missions. Its design emphasizes rapid conversion between cargo and crew configurations and supports civilian research as well as industrial logistics.

StarshipSuper measures about 110 meters in length with a mass near 12,000 metric tons. It includes a central hull, detachable cargo modules, and multiple fixed and swappable mission bays. Propulsion relies on a primary fusion drive for long-range thrust, complemented by ion thrusters for fine maneuvering and station-keeping. Life-support systems sustain up to 40 crew and passengers in standard mode, with reserves for extended isolation and repair operations. The ship supports autonomous docking and on-board maintenance drones.

Two main variants are planned: StarshipSuper Freight, optimized for cargo throughput, and StarshipSuper Explorer, equipped for extended science campaigns and sample return. Development began with concept studies in the mid-2020s, followed by a prototype in the early 2030s and multiple test flights in near-Earth and cislunar space before full-scale deployment.

As of its deployment, StarshipSuper has performed resupply missions to orbital outposts and conducted asteroid-mining logistics and reconnaissance flights. It is cited for modularity, rapid reconfiguration, and resilient life-support. In the space-industrial sector, the program influenced the design of subsequent multi-role exploration platforms and established a framework for cargo-crew integration in deep-space missions.
