Stanniss

Stannite, commonly referred as stanniss, is a rare sulfide mineral composed of a tin sulfide with zinc. It has the chemical formula Cu3SnS4 and is a member of the berzelinite group of minerals. Stannite typically forms small crystals or grains and has a metallic luster. Its color is typically silver-white to grayish silver, and it may exhibit a copper-yellow color due to the presence of copper sulfide inclusions.

Stannite is often found in conjunction with copper and other sulfide minerals in a range of geological settings. It is generally associated with hydrothermal deposits, and can be found in igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic rocks.
