Standbystrømtrekk

Standbystrømtrekk, often referred to as standby power consumption or phantom load, is the energy consumed by electrical devices when they are not actively in use but are still plugged into a power source. This can include appliances that are turned off but still drawing power, or devices in a standby mode, such as televisions, computers, chargers, and gaming consoles.

This seemingly small amount of continuous energy use can accumulate over time, leading to a noticeable increase in electricity bills. Furthermore, the constant draw of power contributes to greenhouse gas emissions and represents an inefficient use of energy resources.
