Spacestunnels is a speculative concept describing conduits that would connect distant locations in space or spacetime, enabling rapid transport or communication beyond what conventional propulsion allows. It is not standard in physics; the closest formal ideas are traversable wormholes—hypothetical spacetime bridges that could, in principle, link separate regions of the cosmos. No experimental evidence supports spacestunnels, and achieving them would likely require exotic matter with negative energy density and extreme control of gravitational fields.

The theoretical basis rests on general relativity and quantum gravity research. In wormhole models, a tunnel throat would connect two mouths, potentially allowing near-instant travel if traversability and safety conditions could be met. However, issues include instability, the need for exotic matter, potential causality violations, and enormous energy demands.
