SoundsSeries

SoundsSeries is a contemporary audio anthology curated by the independent label Harmonic Ventures. Launched in 2018, the series features a curated selection of ambient, experimental, and electronic tracks that explore the intersection of natural soundscapes and synthetic textures. Each volume typically contains 8–12 tracks contributed by a mix of emerging and established artists and is released on both streaming platforms and limited edition vinyl.

The aim of SoundsSeries is to provide a platform for sonic experimentation while fostering collaboration among musicians, sound artists, and producers. In its first year, the series attracted attention from niche blogs and podcast reviewers, resulting in over 120,000 streams across major services. The 2020 volume “Echos of the Tide” received a favorable review from the online magazine SoundWave and was listed as a runner‑up in the 2021 Experimental Audio Awards.

Notable contributors include guitarist and visual artist Milo Rios, Berlin-based producer Anika Caldwell, and New Zealand-based field recorder Keziah Tan. The series often incorporates custom field recordings from environments such as the Amazon rainforest, Arctic ice floes, and urban rooftops.

As of 2023, SoundsSeries has released 15 volumes, a number of which have spawned collaborative live performances and community‑driven remix contests. The series continues to be cited as an influential model for curating cross‑genre audio collections within the independent music community.
