Sotataimonen refers to a Finnish term that roughly translates to "war mood" or "war spirit." It describes a collective state of heightened readiness, national resolve, and a willingness to endure hardship and sacrifice in the face of external threat or during wartime. This concept became particularly prominent in Finland during the periods of conflict with the Soviet Union, notably the Winter War (1939-1940) and the Continuation War (1941-1944).
