Soojusvööndid

Soojusvööndid are geographical regions on Earth characterized by distinct temperature patterns, which primarily influence vegetation, climate, and human settlement. These zones are largely determined by the amount of solar radiation received, which varies with latitude. The Earth's tilt on its axis also plays a crucial role in creating seasonal variations within these zones.

The primary soojusvööndid are the torrid zone, temperate zones, and frigid zones. The torrid zone, located between the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn, receives the most direct sunlight throughout the year, resulting in consistently high temperatures and distinct wet and dry seasons in some areas.

The temperate zones lie between the torrid zone and the frigid zones. These regions experience more moderate temperatures with distinct seasons: spring, summer, autumn, and winter. The amount of solar radiation varies significantly throughout the year, leading to noticeable changes in temperature and daylight hours.

The frigid zones are located around the North and South Poles, within the Arctic Circle and the Antarctic Circle, respectively. These areas receive the least direct sunlight, resulting in very cold temperatures year-round, with long periods of darkness and light depending on the season. Snow and ice are prevalent in these regions. The boundaries between these zones are not always sharply defined and can be influenced by factors like ocean currents and altitude.
