Sokologopher is a fictional creature that appears in the "Star Wanderers" series of science fiction novels by author Anya Sharma. The creature is native to the planet Xylos and is described as a small, burrowing mammal with a distinctive set of multiple, prehensile appendages around its snout. These appendages are used for digging, manipulating objects, and sensing its environment through vibrations. Sokologophers are herbivores, primarily feeding on the roots and tubers of Xylos's unique flora.

Physically, Sokologophers are characterized by their dense, fur-like covering that ranges in color from earthy browns to mossy greens, providing excellent camouflage within their subterranean habitat. They possess large, dark eyes adapted for low-light conditions found in their burrows. Their vocalizations are described as a series of high-pitched chirps and clicks, believed to be used for communication within their social groups. Sokologophers typically live in extended family units, cooperating to excavate and maintain complex burrow systems.
