A snowman is a temporary sculpture of a person made from snow. Typically, snowmen are constructed by rolling snow into spheres, and then stacking these spheres to form the body and head. The smallest sphere usually forms the head, placed atop a larger sphere for the torso, which in turn rests on an even larger sphere for the base.
