Snorfiets is a Dutch term for a class of light motorized two-wheeled vehicles used primarily for urban mobility. In Dutch traffic terminology a snorfiets is a moped-like vehicle that is distinguished from faster mopeds by its restricted speed and, in some cases, its design. Typical snorfiets designs resemble small scooters or step-through motorcycles and commonly use engines up to about 50 cubic centimeters or an equivalent electric motor. The defining feature is a low maximum speed, traditionally around 25 kilometers per hour, though exact limits can vary by country and regulation.
