Smudginess

Smudginess refers to the condition of being blurred, indistinct, or smeared. The phenomenon arises when the sharp edges or clear boundaries of an object or mark become softened and less defined, often due to the spreading of ink, pigment, or other material.

In the context of physical media, smudginess can occur during the printing or writing process.
