Slipemotstand

Slipemotstand refers to the property of a material or surface to resist slipping when in contact with another surface. In safety engineering, high slipemotstand reduces the risk of slips and falls, particularly on floors, stairs, and footwear interfaces. The term is used in Norwegian contexts and translates roughly to slip resistance. It encompasses the inherent roughness of a surface as well as the effects of contaminants such as water, oil, or dust, which can dramatically lower friction.
