Sizeinfo

Sizeinfo is a general term used to describe metadata or data structures that capture size-related characteristics of an object. In information systems, sizeinfo fields standardize how size is represented across domains, enabling consistent storage, querying, and display of size data.

A sizeinfo record typically includes a numeric value and a unit, with optional attributes such as precision, uncertainty, and a timestamp. Units are domain-specific, such as bytes or bits for digital data, meters or millimeters for physical dimensions, grams for weight, or cubic units for volume.
