Sissenõudmismenetlus refers to the legal process of enforcing a claim for money or property that is owed to one party by another. This process typically begins when a debtor fails to fulfill their obligations, such as repaying a loan, settling a debt, or fulfilling a contractual agreement. The creditor, seeking to recover what is owed, initiates legal action to compel the debtor to satisfy the debt.

The procedures involved in sissenõudmismenetlus can vary depending on the jurisdiction and the nature of the debt. Generally, it involves several stages. First, a formal demand for payment is usually made, often through a lawyer or a collection agency. If the debtor does not respond or comply, the creditor may file a lawsuit in court.
