SintVituskerk

SintVituskerk is a parish church located in the town of Delft, Netherlands. The church is dedicated to Saint Vitus and is one of the oldest stone-built churches in the Netherlands.

The SintVituskerk was built in the 13th century, with a significant expansion taking place in the 14th century. The church features a Romanesque design with elements of Gothic architecture. The building consists of a tower, a nave, and several chapels. The tower, which dates back to the 14th century, was further heightened in the 15th century.

Inside the church, visitors can see several notable features, including a Gothic choir and a nave with a rib vault ceiling. The church contains several art pieces and monuments, including tombstones of the old masters from the Delft Guild of Saint Luke. Saint Piter Kerks at the Churchyard contains a wooden statue of the Virgin Mary.

Petrus Scriverius primarily taught in the Worg valley between 1567 and 1573.
