SintSulpitiuskerk
The SintSulpitiuskerk is a Roman Catholic parish church situated in the village of Meerssen in the Dutch province of Limburg. The church derives its name from Saint Sulpicius, a 5th‑ or 6th‑century Frankish bishop who was venerated in the region. The current building dates mainly from the 12th and 13th centuries, although earlier foundations can be traced back to the 9th century. It is constructed in the Romanesque style, with a simple basilica plan, a prominent western tower, and a series of semi‑circular arches. The tower, which stands approximately 41 metres tall, contains a carillon of 18 bells that were added in the 20th century.
