Similan
Similan refers to the Similan Islands, a group of nine islands in the Andaman Sea off the coast of Phang Nga Province in southern Thailand. The name is derived from the Malay word sembilan, meaning nine. The archipelago forms Mu Ko Similan National Park, established to protect marine and coastal ecosystems and to support sustainable tourism.
