Simethicone

Simethicone is an over-the-counter anti-foaming agent used to relieve gas-related discomfort such as bloating, pressure, fullness, and flatulence. It works by decreasing surface tension of gas bubbles in the stomach and intestines, causing scattered small bubbles to combine into larger bubbles that are easier to pass. Because simethicone is not absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract, its action is local and there are no meaningful systemic effects.

Indications and forms: It is used to relieve symptoms of excess gas in adults and in many
