Silmäliuos, also known as conjunctivitis, is an inflammation of the conjunctiva, the thin, clear tissue that lines the inside of the eyelids and covers the white of the eye. It can be caused by various factors, including viral, bacterial, or allergic infections, as well as irritants such as smoke, dust, or chemicals. The symptoms of silmäliuos typically include redness, itching, swelling, and discharge from the eye. In some cases, the eyelids may stick together in the morning, a condition known as sticky eyes.
