Silkesvägen
Silkesvägen is the Swedish name for the Silk Road, the ancient network of trade routes that connected the East and West. This historical network of pathways spanned across Eurasia, facilitating the exchange of goods, ideas, and cultures for centuries. The term "Silk Road" was coined in the 19th century by German geographer Ferdinand von Richthofen, though the routes themselves were in use much earlier, with evidence suggesting activity as far back as the Han Dynasty in China (206 BCE – 220 CE).
