Siktsteg
Siktsteg is a term used in Swedish industry, particularly in mining, quarrying, and material processing, to refer to a screening step in which material is sorted by size using screens. The word combines sikt meaning sieve and steg meaning step or stage. In a typical processing circuit, a siktsteg designates the stage where material is passed over one or more screen decks to separate it into size fractions, often coarse, medium, and fine streams. The choice of screen openings (siktöppningar) determines the cut size for that step, and the resulting fractions may be directed to subsequent processing steps or to final product streams.
In practice, siktsteg can refer to both the physical equipment (such as vibrating screens or static grizzly
