Siirtokuvaarkit

Siirtokuvaarkit, often translated as transfer sheets or decal paper, are special sheets of paper coated with a soluble adhesive layer. These sheets allow for the transfer of an image or design from the paper onto another surface. The process typically involves printing a design onto the siirtokuvaarkit using an inkjet or laser printer. Once printed, the sheet is often sprayed with a sealant to protect the ink and prepare it for transfer.

The transfer itself is usually achieved by immersing the printed siirtokuvaarkit in water. The water dissolves the adhesive layer, allowing the printed image to slide off the backing paper. The image can then be carefully placed onto the desired surface, such as a model, ceramic, glass, or plastic item. Gentle pressure is applied to remove air bubbles and ensure adhesion. As the water evaporates, the soluble adhesive dries and bonds the image permanently to the substrate.
