Shuzenji

Shuzenji is a hot spring resort town located at the base of the Hakone Mountains in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. It is situated approximately 90 kilometers southwest of Tokyo.

The town is famous for its ancient temple, Tendai-shū Shin-Tō Sen-Ji, also known as the Senku-ji temple, which is a major religious site in the Kukai sect of Buddhism. The temple was originally built in the 8th century and is said to have been founded by the famous Buddhist monk Kukai, who later went on to establish the Shingon sect of Buddhism. The temple is known for its beautiful gardens, scenic natural beauty, and historic significance.
