Shamli
Shamli is a city and a municipal board in the Shamli district of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is the administrative headquarters of the district. The city is located in the northwestern part of Uttar Pradesh, close to the border with Haryana. Shamli district was formed in 2011 by carving out a portion of the Muzaffarnagar district.
