Sevre
Sevre is a French toponym that can refer to several places and natural features. In western France, two rivers bear a closely related name: the Sèvre Niortaise and the Sèvre Nantaise. The Sèvre Niortaise flows through Poitou-Charentes, passes through the town of Niort, and its waters ultimately discharge into the Atlantic Ocean, with much of its course occupying the Marais Poitevin, a large wetland area. The Sèvre Nantaise is a separate river that runs in the Pays de la Loire and western Centre-Val de Loire regions; its waters also drain toward the Atlantic Ocean.
