Servierbestecks
Servierbestecks, commonly translated as serving cutlery or serving utensils, refers to a category of tableware designed for the transfer of food from a communal serving dish to individual plates. Unlike personal cutlery used for eating, servierbestecks are typically larger and often have distinct shapes tailored to specific food types. Common examples include serving spoons, which are larger than soup spoons and often have a broader, shallower bowl; serving forks, which are usually two-pronged and sturdier for lifting and holding larger items; and slotted serving spoons, which allow liquids to drain away from solid food.
Other specialized pieces of servierbestecks exist, such as pie servers, which feature a triangular blade for
