Serienparallele

Serienparallele, also known as series-parallel, refers to a method of combining electrical components, particularly resistors, in a circuit to achieve specific resistance values or current distribution. This approach combines elements of both series and parallel connections, allowing for greater flexibility in circuit design.

In a series connection, components are connected end-to-end, meaning the same current flows through each component, and the total resistance is the sum of individual resistances. In contrast, parallel connections link components across common points, allowing current to split among branches, and the total resistance is calculated using the reciprocal of individual resistances.

A series-parallel configuration involves partially connecting components in series within parallel branches or vice versa. For example, two resistors in series can be placed in parallel with another resistor, creating a mixed arrangement. This setup allows for precise control over resistance values and current distribution, which is useful in applications requiring specific voltage drops or current sharing.
