Sequenzbestätigung
Sequenzbestätigung refers to the specific acknowledgment that a recipient has received a series of data units in the correct order, up to a particular sequence number. The term is used mainly in telecommunications and computer networking to guarantee data integrity and to manage flow control between two communicating endpoints. In many protocols, the transmitting side assigns a sequence number to each packet or frame. When the receiver processes the sequence, it sends back a Sequenzbestätigung with the last in‑order number it has successfully stored. This confirms that the receiver has no missing frames up to that point.
The mechanism is integral to sliding‑window protocols such as TCP, where it helps the sender decide how
