Seodongyo
Seodongyo is a 6th-century Korean folk song attributed to Prince Buyeo Seodong, later King Mu of Baekje. The song is significant as the earliest known example of a gagok, a genre of Korean poetry set to music. The lyrics tell a simple story of a young man, Seodong, who is infatuated with Princess Seonhwa. He composes a song about their alleged secret romance and has it sung by children throughout the kingdom. The song's widespread dissemination leads to gossip and eventually forces the king to acknowledge their relationship and arrange their marriage.
The narrative of Seodongyo is preserved in the Samguk Sagi, a historical record of the Three Kingdoms
